You’d like to do this

BlueHalo is seeking an outstanding Electrical Engineer to conduct electrical design of our high-reliability, radiation hardened space systems. Working at BlueHalo you will have the opportunity to be involved in every aspect of electrical design in many different programs and will support engineering efforts from concept to production.

Your duties in this role will include:

  • Circuit design and simulation
  • Schematic capture
  • Printed circuit board layout
  • Electrical circuit test and troubleshooting
  • Electrical system architecture and design
  • Wiring and cable harness design

Core Competencies:

  • Schematic capture and printed circuit board layout – Altium Designer preferred.
  • Experience with mixed signal circuit design and simulation, including devices such amplifiers, analog-to-digital converters, digital-to-analog converters, digital functions, microprocessors, and point-of-load regulators.
  • Understanding of isolation of ground loops, being able to diagnose and troubleshoot grounding issues within a system.
  • Understanding of popular communications interfaces including RS232, RS422, RS485, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, Power busses.
  • Cable and wire harness design.
  • Experience using common electronic test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, signal analyzers, and function generators.

You’re required to have this

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, or equivalent STEM discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with embedded electronics design, integration, and testing
  • Experience with Altium or similar tools (Mentor Graphics Expedition, Or CAD, etc.)
  • Experience with simulation software such as Anysy, Matlab, or similar tools
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with high reliability electrical design for space systems
  • Background designing radiation hardened systems
  • Knowledge of analog design
  • Power supply design experience
