Our Buyer Logisitican Specialist works in coordination with customer and contract staff to procure raw materials, shop supplies, electronic components, and lab equipment. They are required to develop and maintain positive business relationships with vendors. The buyer logistician team shall be the primary interface for all contract related procurements and any issues associated with those procurements.

Specific roles and responsibilities include:

• Identifying sources for material.
• Interfacing with technical staff to clarify material requirements, and assemble technical data packages in support of procurements.
• Managing the RFQ process – planning, organizing, overseeing, and controlling interaction with vendors, ensuring the program meets the procurement requirements of the contract.

Required:

• Active Secret clearance 

Desirable attributes and experience:

• Active TS//SCI clearance with polygraph.
• Knowledge of governent contract procurement provisions
• Knowledge of commercially-available procurement systems (e.g., Unanet, Fraxion/eRequestor)
• Experience with hardware-oriented programs (vendors) - procurement of electronic (Digikey, Mouser) and mechanical (McMaster-Carr) components, printed circuit board fabrication and assembly services, and other equipment/parts vendors.
