Responsibilities

Role Overview

 

Intelligent Automation, a BlueHalo company, is seeking a self-motivated research scientist with a strong background in machine learning. You will be working with a team of engineers and scientists in the Medical Technology Division to develop solutions in Health IT and other relevant fields. We are looking to add expertise and talent to our multi-disciplinary team to continue to achieve success in the below areas:

 

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and develop state of art machine learning (ML) system infrastructure core components and architecture of an ML platform for digital health applications
  • Automate the day to day operational support for ML pipelines
  • Create monitoring solutions that enable troubleshooting of production ML models
  • Test code for reliability, corner cases, and usability
  • Develop internal and work with external APIs and data sources
  • Continuously learn and evaluate new technologies

Required skills:

  • Experience with artificial intelligence data science, machine learning engineering, software development, or data engineering including in a research or professional role
  • Experience with leading software and artificial intelligence projects
  • Experience with distributed cloud systems architecture and relevant technologies
  • Experience with Linux based systems and administration
  • Experience with Python, Java, C++ or other high-level programming language
  • Experience with GitLab
  • Experience with modern cloud-native computing technologies and Docker and/or Kubernetes
  • Strong understanding of non-relational databases such as MongoDB and in-memory stores
  • Experience using APIs to build distributed cloud applications
  • Experience working with ML models is an asset
  • Experience with AWS services

Desired skills:

  • Experience with Deep learning development (PyTorch or Tensorflow)
  • Experience with mobile application development
  • Experience with CPU/GPU optimization
  • Experience with technologies such as NiFi
  • Experience with BERT, GPT, Yolo/DarkNet

Education

  • PhD or Master’s in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, Applicants with Bachelor’s degree with excellent industry experience/publications will be considered
